No 34, January / February 2007

(...) So to us, veterans and for age reasons we can not really define, it occurred to me that we must look with different eyes in that year of thirteen months (February-March of the occupations' 78: Via Fani, Lent, which put an abrupt end to all Carnival). By moving his eyes from the lead - not at all wanting to lighten the burden, of course - the thousand colori di artisti e scrittori, appunto: in una rivoluzione che fu essenzialmente linguistica ( W la retorica , recita ironico uno dei graffiti fotografati da Renato Donati sui muri dell’Università di Bologna: prezioso giacimento di immagini qui per la prima volta a stampa). Questo duplice fronte di intervento, politico e linguistico, era del resto esplicitamente teorizzato dai gruppi che predicavano la trasformazione dal basso, a partire appunto da una rivoluzione delle forme, della comunicazione, dei linguaggi.
(…) In questo e in un prossimo numero della rivista, con le immagini e le parole di artisti di allora e di oggi – Tano D’Amico, fotografo-poeta che nelle sue immagini seppe tenere insieme la violence and its inverse Scabia Giuliano, poet-theatrical that "soul" of invention and fantasy colors in the streets of the Bologna - will try to tell, then, a story in any way different.

The Two Bass Hit duo propose a new interpretation of the songs that marked an epoch in the history of jazz. The duo will perform jazz standards of the most-played by soloists of the Swing Era, drawn from the great American tradition of the musical, which gave prestige composers like George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Harold Arlen, Jule Styne.

The happy eternity of daily
(Carola Susani)

When I picked up the first Once, while returning home after a tiring day, pictures of Sveva put me joy. Certainly they were the colors that are full, barely exaggerated loads. The colors of the beginning of the world, but that the world is not started are gone, so we find them in a lock, a bunch of fags and a remote control in our daily lives. Colors that do not subside at all, even bring euphoria. Colors that do not explode, they define their boundaries accurately. Trimensionali colors, which are forms. Forms that emerge from the flow of daily time. But do not emerge as subtracted images for a moment the flow, but as monuments. As if time had already stopped. Or she could stop at any time. As if it were to stop at every moment in our power. Swabian stops time a monument gestures. There are a lot of hands in these photos. The hands, the objects held by the hands, are at the center of the photographs. I've never sguincio picture, anything that is important is left in the periphery of the frame. It 's so that Sveva produces this sense of eternity, by subtracting the movement, concentrating. Even the hand that draws children moving the impression that you draw circles forever. The objects in these pictures all have the same weight, the same value: that is the paper the comb, the remote, there is no hierarchy among these objects. Apply because they relate to the hands, the important is in the report, these objects in relation to the bodies, one photo after another, are the shape of our lives. Nothing frightens the life of each object and regains it changes direction. Photos are beautiful, pleasing, glossy. All these beautiful colors and shapes as if playing with advertising. We feel behind an amused smile. The sense of the joke seems to me something like this: you, advertising, isolate the beauty around a desire, an object that lacks a way of life toward which I strive for, but I tell you you're wasting your time, you see, I have everything in my life, the desire is already fulfilled, you prove it: see, I just look at life from the perspective that I have che tu ti ostini a usare per quello che mi manca.

La mostra fotografica rimarrà aperta fino al 18 aprile 2007
